Loral has been described as a "super noble hop" with its wonderful floral and herbal notes followed by a backdrop of citrus and earthy character.

Usage as an aroma hop described as very pleasant with floral, peppery, lemon-citrus and dark fruit characteristics. Developed by Hop Breeding Company and released in 2016, Loral® Brand HBC 291 has a noble heritage that straddles the fence between old and new world hop aromatics. It has the ability to complement all beer styles, making it a very versatile hop in the brewery. Loral® has been described as pleasant with floral, citrus, peppery and some dark fruit characteristics. Its mother is the U.S. developed aroma variety Glacier and the father is a son of the U.S. developed Nugget variety. Loral is characterized by having numerous small, dense cones with moderate alpha acids.
